Katy Perry and Disneyland

Today a 5 year old girl in my hip hop class insisted that she was going to Disneyland to see Katy Perry sing. I asked her mom after class, and she said, "If she is, I don't know who she's going with!"

Convo of the day- ringing bells

Me: "Does that ring a bell?"
Student: "Ding ding ding ding ding!"

Really cool songs

On Saturdays I teach 6 classes back-to-back, for ages 5-adult in various hip hop and contemporary levels. During class #3 this week, (all girls, aged 7-10, full of spunk and sparkle), I was warming them up and all of a sudden one of the girls says, 


"Mrs. Rebecca, you're AWESOME!!"


I started laughing. "Thank you, Noelle."


"Yeah, Mrs. Rebecca, you ROCK!!"


More nervous giggling from me and my captains. "Ok, thanks Nadia!"


Then from way in the back, "Mrs. Rebecca IS A ROCK STAR!!!!!!!"


And they all chimed in, "YEAHHHHH!!!!"

Dance Prayers

I got this note from a parent today:


"As I was tucking Jilli into bed tonight, Jilli included in her prayers, "God Bless Ms. Rebecca and Ivy. And please God let my mommy sign me up for all Ms. Rebecca dance classes because dancing helps me find my happy place...Amen."


My heart is melting. :)
